It’s October, which means I can whip out my Halloween lunch-making supplies! This will be a shorter post, because Jack has suddenly started skipping snack time at morning recess in favor of playing with his friends. I still pack him a snack in hopes he’ll eat it, but it’s something very simple (a bag of Goldfish, a small banana, an apple) and not photo-worthy.
On Monday, I sent Jack with Star Wars roast beef sandwiches (I just cut the bread with Star Wars cookie cutters), carrots, a mix of dried cranberries and raisins, Goldfish, grapes and strawberries with a light saber pick, and a caramel chewy candy for dessert.
Tuesday, Jack brought ghost roast beef sandwiches, Goldfish, fall leaf shape cheese (I just cut the leaf shapes out of a slice of cheese — and yes, I saved the rest of the slice for later use. I always get a few of you who are worried about food waste! ;)), and mandarin orange wedges.
Wednesday, Jack brought scary cat PB&Js, a car-shaped hardboiled egg cut in half, grape tomatoes, strawberries, and a whistle candy.
Thursday, Jack brought hot dogs, ketchup, cucumber slices, tomatoes, and mandarin orange wedges.
Today, Jack is buying lunch at school, so no picture. Have great weekends, everyone!
