Whew! What a busy week it was. Both boys were in kids’ dance shows on different nights, plus we had a tech rehearsal one night, and I’m gearing up for our big St. Patrick’s Day party on Sunday, and of course there’s the usual kids-tutoring-life stuff to deal with. It’s been a whirlwind — a fun one, but I’m glad the week is over, and now I can just focus on the party this weekend! (Speaking of which, if you’re looking for St. Patrick’s Day food inspiration, check out the posts I wrote featuring fun St. Patrick’s Day food.)
Here’s what the boys took to school this week:
Monday was a “mommy forgot to pack lunch the day before” kind of morning. So, in three minutes, I threw a PB&J, nectarines, and Goldfish in an EasyLunchbox.
Tuesday was a shamrock-themed lunch day. Jack got a shamrock ham sandwich, tomatoes, carrots, a homemade shamrock sugar cookie, and tangerine wedges.
Wednesday, Jack brought dinosaur ham and cheese sandwiches, sugar snap peas (with ranch dip in the little container), pretzels, and berries, with a few fruit snacks as a treat, in his PlanetBox.
Thursday, I packed almond butter and jam sandwiches, Trefoil cookies, two hardboiled egg halves, nectarines and blueberries in an EasyLunchbox.
Today, Jack’s buying pizza at school, but Derek’s bringing a PlanetBox lunch. He has ham and cheese sandwiches on crescent round rolls, steamed broccoli, pretzels, nectarine wedges, and a single Wilton’s candy melt for a treat. (I’m making cake pops for our party this weekend, and Derek keeps begging for a white candy melt, so I’m giving him one in his lunch as a surprise.)
Have great weekends, everyone!
