This week, I pulled out my Christmas-themed cookie cutters and cupcake picks! I figure it’s OK if it’s after Thanksgiving. 🙂 Here’s what the boys took to school this week:
On Monday, Jack brought two candy-cane PB&J (and a mini star PB&J), orange wedges, and special-edition snowflake Ritz crackers.
Derek stayed for lunch on Monday because I had so much to do around the house after our long weekend, and it was a tutoring afternoon for me. He took candy cane and mini star PB&Js, oranges and Angry Birds graham cracker cookies.
His lunch was leftover fried rice, packed in a Thermos, with a side of bananas and snowflake Ritz crackers.
Wednesday’s lunch was two roast chicken sandwiches on Hawaiian rolls, celery sticks with peanut butter (in the little container) for dipping, mozzarella cubes on Christmas picks, and grapes.
Thursday’s snack was apples and Goldfish.
Lunch was snowflake Ritz crackers, roast chicken, apples, and Angry Birds cookies. Not my finest work, but I was out of inspiration and a little light on groceries!
Jack buys lunch on Fridays, so no picture of his food today (and snack is a pouch of Pirate’s Booty), but Derek asked to stay for lunch today, too, so I made him a Christmas tree-themed one. He was very excited because we’re actually picking out our tree tonight. 🙂 Packed in an EasyLunchbox is a Christmas tree-shaped PB&J with red and green M&Ms and a tiny cheese star, all “glued” on with cream cheese, an apple wedge as a tree stand, roast chicken on Christmas picks, and orange wedges.
This weekend, besides putting up a tree, we’re also have a playdate with a new friend, going to a birthday party, and riding the North Pole Express. So much holiday fun! I hope everyone has terrific weekends, too. See you all next time!
