TGIF! Lunch and Snack Round-Up for 10/29-11/2

Here’s what was in the boys’ lunch and snack bags this week. I forgot to take pictures on Monday, so we start with Tuesday this week!

Snack was a yogurt parfait. I mixed plain lowfat yogurt with homemade strawberry jam and mashed banana, layered some chopped blackberries in the middle, and topped it with Honey Bunches of Oats in an 8-oz plastic Ball jar.

Lunch was leftover chicken noodle soup from the night before, with a side of tangerine wedges, Ritz crackers and a Babybel cheese.

On Wednesday, which was Halloween, Jack wanted to buy lunch at school, so I didn’t make anything for him (and snack was a package of Japanese crackers and a banana, so nothing to take pictures of). I did have Derek stay at preschool for lunch, though, so that I could help out in Jack’s classroom that morning without rushing to pick up Derek. His lunch was packed in an EasyLunchbox, and contained black cat- and pumpkin-shaped ham sandwiches, Pirate’s Booty corn sticks, apple wedges, and tangerine and mozzarella cheese skewers on Halloween cupcake picks (I just cut up a string cheese).

Thursday, Jack brought strawberries, Ritz crackers and a Babybel cheese for snack. He was very excited because our friends Tomomi and Kai just brought back a package of Pokemon picks and two Pokemon bento boxes for us from Japan! His snack today had a Pikachu pick and was packed in the smaller of the two bento boxes.

See how cute the box is?!

Lunch was a leaf-shaped PB&J, cut-up veggies, a tangerine, Ritz crackers, and a package of Koala cookies for a treat (they’re filled with chocolate).

Today, Jack’s buying lunch again, but I did send him with this snack:

Derek asked to stay for lunch again today, despite having done so on Wednesday, so that he could play with his Friday lunch friends. So, I sent him this lunch in the bigger Pokemon bento:

He has Ritz crackers, lunch meat and mozzarella cheese (I made one skewer with a Tepig pick), strawberries and tangerines. Derek requested an Oshawatt (sp?) pick for the fruit side. Look how cute this lid is, too:

OK, so maybe it’s not as cute, as say, pink and purple sparkly stuff with hearts and flowers on it, but this is the closest I can get to cute with two little boys! 🙂

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
